The Jersey Beer and Cider Festival is organised by the Jersey Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).  The 2009 festival will be the 21st festival that the branch has run.

This year's event will be held over the weekend of

Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th September 2009

Countdown...

For many years the Jersey Beer Festival was held in a variety of local hotels and entertainment facilities, however, following the 2001 Beer Festival we were homeless.

Like every good nomadic tribe, we set up camp in a large tent on Peoples Park for the first Drinking Within Tent in October 2002.  Unfortunately, a force 9 gale blew the tent away.

In 2003 we moved the festival to September (and to a bigger and slightly stronger tent) and the festival has grown bigger since.

In the past couple of years we have noticed that by Saturday, the beer choice is often dwindled.  As many of the beers available are similar, this year we have decided to reduce the number of beers but get more barrels of each beer.
